Piers Linney
Piers Linney is an entrepreneur with a professional background in law and finance who has a rapidly growing profile in the media due to the rapid growth of his award-winning and world-leading Cloud Service Provider and unified communications business, Outsourcery; as well as his career path, heritage and government and charitable involvements. He recently featured as a 'Secret Millionaire' on the prime time Channel 4 series.
Piers grew up in the small Lancashire town of Bacup. He attended his local comprehensive school after failing his 11+. After a second attempt at his A-levels, Piers gained entry to Manchester University. After graduating with a degree in Accounting and Law, Piers qualified as a solicitor in the City. He specialised in private equity and venture capital at the leading private equity focused law firm SJ Berwin, but he chose not to pursue a career as a lawyer. He "was much more interested in why and how clients were financing and structuring deals as opposed to writing them up".
Before he created Outsourcery, Piers has worked as an investment banker, venture capital fund manager and hedge fund manager. Piers left the banking world in 2000 to start an Internet-based research business just before the technology bubble burst. He then became COO of a London-based online music retail, DJ management, radio production and events company. Piers returned to the City's Square Mile in 2003, becoming CEO of a venture capital fund and re-branding it Tower Gate Capital. His next incarnation was as a fund manager after he became a partner in Europe's first private placement fund. Piers has also always been involved in start-ups and growing companies throughout his career as a founder, director, adviser, mentor and investor.
Today, Piers is at the Joint CEO and a major shareholder of one of the world's leading Cloud Service Provider businesses called Outsourcery, which is driving the rapidly growing UK market in Cloud-based software, infrastructure and unified communications solutions.
His mother, Norma, emigrated from Barbados in 1962 to train as a nurse. His father, Derek, grew up in Manchester's working class district of Cheetham Hill before winning a scholarship to Cambridge University to study languages.
Piers enjoys the extreme sport of downhill mountain biking and is married with two children. He lives in Camden in central London.

Host & Moderators

R&R
Raghd & Rosario are quintessential innovators. They founded the R&R variety talk show; a radio
show for university students providing listeners the chance to share their views on topics from
politics to entertainment delivered with an energy only seen when the two join forces.
Sudanese born Raghd (pictured: left) prefers to refer to herself as a 'citizen of the world'. Having travelled extensively and through internships with organisations such as the United Nations she is able to think beyond borders. Nonetheless, her interests are not solely politically and culturally inclined she is passionate about all things creative: Fashion, Photography, etc.
Originally from Nigeria, Rosario (pictured: right) brings unrivalled passion to any project she embarks on. A recent graduate; a model; an entrepreneur; a trainee at Goldman Sachs; a football connoisseur: just a few of the contrasting interests, which highlight the diversity of her capabilities. She lives by the mantra "Failure is not an option". These two University of Warwick 'French with Politics' (Raghd) and 'Sociology' (Rosario) students are blazing a new path for all to follow.
